Pischeldorf in Styria with 2534 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) until the end of 2014, market town in Austria. As part of the municipality of structural reform in Styria it is merged in 2015 with the communities Kulm bei Weiz and rich village, the new community will be called market town Pischeldorf at Kulm. This is based on the Styrian community structure reform law - StGsrG.

Location and accessibility

The market town Pischeldorf located in the southern Kulmregion in the hills of Eastern Styria. Due to the market town supplies the AC B54, which runs along the old post road from railway village on the change to Wiener Neustadt.

Since Pischeldorf, which is a small regional economic and trade center, administratively part of the district of Weiz, whose district capital, however, is remote from the Kulm page, its regional relations (eg, district court, hospital, schools, hypermarkets ) are among the small towns Hartberg and track village stronger.

The market Pischeldorf, the center of the village, is situated on a sloping to the south ridge, which is bounded by the two streams Romans Bach and Dürr Feistriz, the southeast confluence of the town. History

Middle Ages

The first mention Pischel village took place on October 1, 1043, when Henry III. some Adalram two Huben in Ramarsstetin gave. The name " Ramarsstetin " has long been interpreted as "Roman site", while it is assumed today that the name was derived from a personal name. One reason for the older assumption also represented the full land fragmentation, which was unique in Eastern Styria.

This property was in the 12th century in part to the Archbishop of Salzburg ( due to an inheritance contract of 1152 ), the pen Göß and Wildonier. The part that came to the Archbishop of Salzburg, was renamed Bishop village, from which Pischeldorf has become today.

The first mention of a parish Pischeldorf and their priests can be found in a document from the year 1203. 1322 the place came in exchange for other goods as a fief to the Herber Steiner. The Herber Steiner wanted Pischeldorf is an economic center of their possessions and in 1407 the town was first mentioned as a market. A separate Handwerksordnung only had the cutter, which was the Emperor 1610 submitted for confirmation.

Modern Times

1532 destroyed by Ottoman troops withdrawing the place where the majority of the population either died or was kidnapped. More disasters facing the major fires in 1643 and 1761, each destroyed the Parish registers and minute books of the local administration. Katastralgemeinden

From 1945

Pischeldorf has become larger, the settlements have expanded. The main town itself has moved in the 60s to the outskirts federal highway reincorporated. Volunteer Fire Department

The market town Pischeldorf has two volunteer fire (FF ): FF FF Pischeldorf and Roma Tschachen.
