Strallegg located in eastern Styria's hill country.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Außeregg, Feistritzwerke, Pacher and Strallegg.

History

The first mention was made in the year 1295th The landlords of the Middle Ages were the Stubenberger. Later were the canons of pen Pöllau landlords. The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848., The local church as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938 the congregation to Reichsgau Styria came from 1945 to 1955 it was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Mayor is Peter Kern. The council is made up after the elections of 2010 were as follows: 9 ÖVP, SPÖ 5, 1 Freedom Party

The coat of arms of the municipality was awarded in 1989. Blazon: " In the black coated with a right curved silver mistletoe shield a silver Obereck right, is a right oblique black arrowhead. "
