Unger village is a municipality with 869 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria. From 1 January 2015, is the framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Labuch, Laßnitzthal, Nitscha and track village together, the new community will continue to use the name " track village".

Geography

Unger village is situated in the district of Weiz in the Austrian province of Styria.

There are no other cadastral except Ungerdorf.

History

The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848., The local church as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938 the congregation to Reichsgau Styria came from 1945 to 1955 it was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Policy

Mayor Rosemarie is Taferl (ÖVP ). The council is made up after the elections of 2010 are as follows: 6 ÖVP, SPÖ 3, - FPÖ

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 September 1990. Coat Description: From quartered red and silver shield, it farbverwechselt a taut Old Hungarian reflex arc with inlaid diagonally right arrow.

Economy and infrastructure

The community is a member of the Energy Region Weiz - track village.

Others

A 3.5-meter high blue pyramid, with a symbol with the European circle of stars, since 2004 marked the Town of Ungerdorf on track in the village 500 meters above sea level, the mountain was named by then Ungerdorf and from then officially called Europa mountain.
