Floing is located in the district of Weiz community the Austrian province of Styria with 1212 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Geography and townscape

The community Floing is in the hills of Eastern Styria, at the foot of the Raven forest and at the beginning of the Styrian Apple Route. The community center is the chapel and the village square in a harmonious unity, which reflects the general architecture picture of the place. This architecture image, the symbiosis of traditional and modern architecture, is one of the special characteristics of this place.

Landscape dominated by orchards, meadows, mixed woodland and Feistritzwerke (a river in the region) is Floing an attractive holiday destination.

In particular sporting activities are very possible. Among other things, the R8 Feistritztal bike path runs through the municipality.
