Ampflwang im Hausruckwald is in Hausruckviertel located in Upper Austria in the district of Vöcklabruck market town with 3446 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The competent jurisdiction is Vöcklabruck.

Geography

Ampflwang im Hausruckwald is located on 566 m altitude in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 5.9 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 6 km. It is bordered to the north by the municipality Eberschwang, on the east by the town of Zell am Pettenfirst, to the south Neukirchen an der Vöckla and to the west by Frankenburg. The total area is 20.6 km ². 54.9 % of the area is forested, 34 % of the land used for agriculture. Quarters are: Aigen, Ampflwang, Buchleiten, Eitzing, Hinterschlagen, Inner conducting, Luke mountain, city, Rödleiten, Rabelsberg, Schachen, Scheibl meadow, mountain Schmitz, settlement, Front hitting, Wörmansedt, Forest Point, Wassenbach.

History

The market town of Ampflwang im Hausruckwald is located on the south side of the house jerk forest, in a space formed by low hills, running from south to north valley. The town was first mentioned in 1169 and was, until the discovery of lignite about 1766 a rural settlement community. 1809 falls Ampflwang, like the rest of Hausruckviertel also, in the course of the Napoleonic wars in Bavaria, where it remains until 1814.

Population

During the period when mining still prevailed in Hausruckviertel, many people moved to Ampflwang because they by no means easy, but finding a well-paid job in the mining industry were there. In the 1961 census Ampflwang reached the first peak with 3,965 inhabitants. Economy

The market town of Ampflwang was primarily characterized by agriculture, but since the middle of the 18th century by mining. Ampflwang is located on the B143 ( Hausruckstraße ) between Vöcklabrucker Ried. ÖBB-Postbus Line 706 connects Ampflwang from Monday to Saturday with the western railway line in Vöcklabruck. The additional bus routes 707 and 708 run only on weekdays, as well as the line 852 by Ried.
