Andrea Collinelli

Andrea Colli Nelli ( born July 2, 1969 in Ravenna ) is a former Italian cyclist, who was particularly successful in track cycling.

In 1995 he won in Bogotá for the first time a World Cup medal when he finished second in the team pursuit. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta he won the gold medal in the 4000 -meter individual pursuit and reached the fourth place team. In the same year he won in Manchester two more World Championship medals, gold with the team and silver in the individual pursuit. At the World Championships in Perth in 1997 he was again successful twice, he won again the World Champion title with the team as well as bronze in the individual pursuit. 1998 Bordeaux were added two more medals, silver in the two - team approach ( Madison, with Silvio Martinello ) and again bronze in the team pursuit.
