Arrentès-de-Corcieux

Arrentès -de- Corcieux is a commune in the Vosges department in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Saint- Dié -des-Vosges, in the canton of Corcieux and founded, to the 1997 Local Government Association, Val de nine.

Geography

The 170 inhabitants (1 January 2011 ) scoring community Arrentès -de- Corcieux is located about eight kilometers north of the town of Gerardmer in the Vosges. The municipality extends over a forested mountain ridge between the valleys of the nine in the Northeast and the Vologne in the southwest.

Arrentès -de- Corcieux is not grown village, there is no distinctive settlement core. The municipality is composed of the following scattered hamlets and farms:

Three quarters of the community brain area is forested ( Forêt Domaniale de Vologne ), arable land can be found just to the north of the municipality or on smaller clearings. In the south of the municipality are the highest elevations:

  • Tête de Nayemont 965 m
  • Haut de la Pierre de waist 956 m
  • Tête des Gazons 926 m

The mountain streams Ruisseau de Rayrand, Ruisseau des Bans, B'Heumey and Corbeline arise in the municipality of Arrentès. Except for the latter, which leads into the Vologne, they flow north to nine.

History

In contrast to the surrounding mountain communities Arrentès -de- Corcieux is still relatively young. The first written mention dates from 1711, when the community was part of the Bailiwick of Bruyeres. The parish was part of the parish Corcieux the Dean Epinal. Since 1790 Arrentès is part of the canton Corcieux. During the German invasion of 1870, the city hall and the school were destroyed by fire. 1871 was the town hall to be rebuilt.

The community Arrentès -de- Corcieux is off the roads of national significance. Passing through the municipality, the year-round usable road from Corcieux to Granges -sur- Vologne (D 31). More roads lead to Gerardmer and La Bresse. In La Houssière eight kilometers away is railway connection ( line Arches Saint- Dié ).
