Arvingarna

Arvingarna is a Swedish Dansband which was founded in 1989 and participated in the Melodifestivalen 1993, 1995, 1999 and 2002.

With their contribution Eloise, the group used the Melodifestivalen 1993 the first place, and could thus represent Sweden at the Euro Vision Song Contest. There is the song Eloise seventh.

Besides this song, the single Pamela (1997) was her biggest hit to date. It reached # 2 in the Swedish charts.

The name of the band, Arvingarna ( German: Heirs ), alludes to the fact that even the parents of some of the band members have occurred in Dansbands. The music of Arvingarna and similar bands in Sweden is commonly called Dansbandspop.

Arvingarna received in 1992 for the album Coola killar and 2002 Diamanter Awards for the album as " Dansband of the Year" at the ceremonies of the Swedish music prize Grammis.
