Svante Thuresson
Svante Thuresson ( born February 7, 1937 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish jazz and pop singer.
Thuresson took the first steps of his musical career as a drummer. From 1963 to 1967 he sang in the vocal group Gals and Pals, with whom he had his first television appearances. Together with the singer Lill Lindfors he won the Melodifestivalen in 1966 and was therefore entitled to represent his country at the Grand Prix Euro Vision Song Contest 1966 in Luxembourg. With the jazzy pop Nygammal vals, the duo reached the second place.
Since the 1970s, Thuresson is a singer some with jazz bands and jazz orchestras go. He also appeared with Viktoria Tolstoy.
