Bang Sai District (1413)

Amphoe Bang Sai ( Thai: อำเภอ บางซ้าย ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the western part of the province ( Changwat ) Ayutthaya. The Ayutthaya Province located in the central region of Thailand.

There is another district of Bang Sai in Ayutthaya province, whose name is indeed romanized in the same case, however, the Thai spelling is different ( บางไทร ).

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Phak Hai, Sena and Lat Bua Luang Ayutthaya Province and Amphoe Bang Pla Ma Suphanburi province.

History

Amphoe Bang Sai was founded in 1948 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by being separated from Amphoe Sena. In 1959, he got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Bang Sai ( tambon) divided into six municipalities that subdivide further into 53 villages ( Muban ).

Bang Sai himself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the tambon Bang Sai Kaeo Fa Tao and Lao.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
