Braydon Coburn

Braydon Coburn ( born February 27, 1985 in Calgary, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2007 at the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

During the NHL Entry Draft Braydon Coburn in 2003 was selected as the eighth player overall by the Atlanta Thrashers. As a rising junior defender 2000 total of five years for the Portland Winter Hawks of the Western Hockey League was active until 2005. Towards the end of the season 2004/ 05 he was the farm team of the Thrashers, the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, was appointed to play in the playoffs. This was Coburn for his debut in professional hockey dar. Towards the end of the 2005/06 season came Coburn first time in the National Hockey League Atlanta used.

On February 24, 2007 Coburn was released to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Alexei Schitnik. A deflected puck hurt him on 11 May 2008 on the eye so that he could no longer play the entire rest of the season. The wound had to be closed with 50 stitches.

Internationally

For Canada Coburn participated at youth level at the U20 World Junior Championships in 2004 and 2005. For the seniors choice, he stood for the first time at the 2009 World Cup on the ice with Team Canada won the silver medal at the Coburn.
