Broadview Park is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Broward County in the U.S. state of Florida with 7,125 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Broadview Park is adjacent to the cities of Davie, Plantation and Fort Lauderdale.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 7,125 inhabitants distributed to 2,280 households. The population density was 2850.0 inh. / Km ². 69.7 % of the population were white, 15.8% African American, 0.3% Native American and 1.9 % Asian Americans. 8.5% were members of other ethnic groups and 3.9% in different ethnic groups. 59.6 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 17.0 % of all households lived in 48.3 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 76.1 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 3.38 persons and the average family size is 3.57 people.

28.2% of the population were younger than 20 years, 32.8 % were 20-39 years old, 27.6% were 40-59 years old and 10.1 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 33 years. 52.7 % of the population were male and 47.3 % female.

The average annual income was $ 37,432, while 19.0 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 54.71 % of the population spoke Spanish 41.80 % and 3.49 % had a different mother tongue.

Traffic

The CDP is affected by the Interstate 595, from Florida 's Turnpike and from U.S. Highway 441/State Road 7. The Fort Lauderdale airport is about 4 km away.
