Sea Ranch Lakes is a town in Broward County in the U.S. state of Florida with 670 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Geography

Sea Ranch Lakes is located about 40 km north of Miami on the Atlantic Ocean. Adjacent municipalities Lauderdale -by-the -Sea and Fort Lauderdale. Through the village leads the Florida State Road A1A.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 670 inhabitants distributed in 351 households. The population density was 1,340 inh. / Km ². 97.3 % of the population were white, 0.6 % African American, 1.0% Native American and 0.6 % Asian Americans. 0.7 % were members of other ethnic groups and 0.6 % of various ethnicities. 9.7 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 43.4 % of all households lived in 28.3 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 68.9 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.34 persons and the average family size is 2.88 people.

24.4% of the population were younger than 20 years, 7.4% were 20 to 39 years old, 33.1% were 40-59 years old and 35.1% were at least 60 years old. The median age was 51 years. 46.9 % of the population were male and 53.1 % female.

The average annual income was $ 105,500, while 2.1% of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 85.50 % of the population spoke Spanish 6.02% and 8.48% had a different mother tongue.

Crime

The crime rate in 2010 was 143 points ( U.S. average: 266 points ) in the low range. There were two burglaries and 22 thefts.
