The Buckeye Township is one of 18 townships in Stephenson County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois.

Geography

The Buckeye Township is located north-west of Illinois, approximately 5 km south of the Wisconsin border. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa, is located around 80 km to the west.

The Buckeye Township is located at 42 ° 24'00 " north latitude and 89 ° 37'00 " west longitude and extending over 93.23 km ².

The Buckeye Township is located in the northern center of the Stephenson County and is bordered to the north by the Oneco Township, in the northeast on the skirt Grove Township, on the east by the Dakota Township, to the southeast by the Lancaster Township, to the southwest by the Harlem Township and the west to Waddams Township.

Traffic

In north-south direction, the Illinois State Route 26 runs through the entire Township and crosses in the center of the County Highway 19, the southern boundary of the Township form of County Highway 5 The County Highway 7 passes through the township in the extreme north-west corner. All other roads are subordinate and partly unpaved roadways.

The nearest airport is approximately 20 km south to Albertus Airport in Freeport, the center of the region.
