The Loran Township is one of 18 townships in Stephenson County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois.
Geography
The Loran Township is located north-west of Illinois, approximately 30 km south of the Wisconsin border. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa, is located around 45 km to the west.
The Loran Township is located at 42 ° 14'30 " north latitude and 89 ° 48'18 " west longitude and extending over 90.64 km ².
The Loran Township is located in the southwest of Stephenson County and borders within which the west by the Jefferson Township, on the north by the Kent and Erin Township, in the north- east by the Harlem Township and on the east by the Florence Township.
