The Dakota Township is one of 18 townships in Stephenson County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois.

Geography

The Dakota Township is located north-west of Illinois, approximately 5 km south of the Wisconsin border. The Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa, is located around 80 km to the west.

The Dakota Township is located at 42 ° 24'55 " north latitude and 89 ° 32'46 " west longitude and extending over 46.61 km ².
