Computer Associates International, Inc. was founded in 1976 in New York by Charles B. Wang with three employees and has been renamed to CA, Inc. 2004. Was to house exhibition CA World 2010, another name change to CA Technologies. The company is one of the largest software companies in the world and sells management software for networks, storage, security, and project and portfolio management. In 1992, Computer Associates bought the company Nantucket, the provider of the widely used database language Clipper, but could not build on the success of Clipper after 1995 with the successor language Visual Objects.
