Candoni, Negros Occidental
Candoni is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Negros Occidental on the island of Negros in the Philippines. It has 21,336 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 9 barangays. It belongs to the fourth income class municipalities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized.
It is located approximately 137 kilometers south of Bacolod City. The journey time is about 3 hours by bus, by car about two and a half hours. From Kabankalan City is also possible to travel by jeepney. Your neighboring municipalities are Cauayan in the north, Ilog in the east, Hinoba - to the south and the west borders the municipality of Sipalay City. The topography of the municipality is described in the West as hilly to mountainous. Candoni is water catchment area of the Ilog River.
