Pulupandan, Negros Occidental

Pulupandan is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Negros Occidental on the island of Negros in the Philippines. It has 25,350 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 23 barangays. It belongs to the fourth income class municipalities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized.

It is located about 31 km south-west of Bacolod City. The travel time is about 45 minutes by bus or jeepney, by car about 30 minutes. Your neighboring municipalities are Bago City in the northeast, Valladolid in the southeast, north and west borders the community to the Guimaras Strait.

The Green Beach Liberation Stone marker commemorates the landing of the American forces on March 29, 1945 liberation of the island of Negros the Japanese occupation during the Battle of the Visayas.
