Sipalay

Sipalay City is located in the west of the island of Negros. The town belongs to the province of Negros Occidental in Western Visayas in the Philippines. It has 63 522 spread a population of 11,955 households in 17 barangays.

Geography

The metropolitan area has a size of 427.7 km ² and is bordered on the west by the Sulu Sea, in the north by the Municipality of Cauayan, on the east by the Municipality of Candoni and on the south by the Municipality of Hinobaan. Sipalay City is 178 km away from the provincial capital Bacolod and accessible by road in 3 to 4 hours driving time. The city has a coastline of 45 km.
