Toboso, Negros Occidental
Toboso is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Negros Occidental on the island of Negros in the Philippines. It has 41 658 inhabitants ( census of 1 May 2010 ) living in 9 barangays. It belongs to the third income class municipalities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized.
Geography
It is located about 115 km east of Bacolod City. The travel time is about three hours by bus, by car about two and a half hours. Your neighboring municipalities are Sagay City in the northwest, Escalante City in the north, Calatrava in the south and the west borders the community on Tanon Strait. The topography of the municipality is described in the eastern part as hilly.
Attractions
In the municipality the Mainit Hot Springs are located in the area of Barangays San Isidro. The Kampanoy cave is located in the area of Barangay Luna. The Grotto Trangkalan is in the area of Brgy. Magticol, until the mid-18th century it was used for ritual acts. In the 250- meter high cascade of Dalisun waterfalls are in the vicinity of Sitio Vergara in Brgy. Bug -ang. The coast is preceded by the 80 -hectare Kevin's Reef, it is to be reached within a ten minute boat ride.
