Canton of Barlin

The Canton of Barlin is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Béthune, in Pas- de -Calais and in the Nord -Pas -de- Calais; its chief town is Barlin. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 2002, Michel Dagbert.

Geography

The Canton of Barlin is 3,001 hectares ( 30.01 km ²) in size and has 18,434 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponds to a population density of around 614 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 65 meters above sea level, between 25 meters and 131 meters in Gosnay in Barlin.
