Canton of Vitry-en-Artois

The Canton of Vitry -en- Artois is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Arras, in the Pas -de- Calais and in the Nord -Pas -de- Calais; its chief town is Vitry -en- Artois. Representatives of the General Council of the department is Stienne since 1979 Martial.

Geography

The Canton of Vitry -en- Artois is 16,931 acres ( 169.31 km ²) in size and has 26 863 inhabitants (as of 1999), which corresponds to a population density of around 158 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 57 meters above sea level, between 25 meters and 113 meters in Brebières in Monchy -le- Preux.
