Canton of Hesdin

The canton of Hesdin is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Montreuil, in the Pas -de- Calais and in the Nord -Pas -de- Calais; its chief town is Hesdin. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 2008, Robert Therry.

Geography

The canton of Hesdin is 13,866 acres ( 138.66 km ²) in size and has 11,130 inhabitants (as of 2006), which corresponds to a population density of 80 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 55 meters above sea level, between 11 meters and 133 meters in Tortefontaine in Chériennes.
