Eemnes

Eemnes ( listen? / I ) is a municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht. Within the town limits there are no other residential projects.

Location and economic

Eemnes is just east of Laren, North Holland province ( only by the A27 motorway separated), and 5 kilometers north of Soest (junction to the A1 motorway Amsterdam - Amersfoort ). It is located in the polders of the river Eem. Main sources of income are livestock and tourism ( marina on the Eemian ). Many residents but commuters who have their jobs in Hilversum, Amsterdam or elsewhere.

History

The elongated in north-south direction Eemnes village originally consisted of two parts: Eemnes internal and Eemnes - Buiten north of this location. Both have a historical Reformed Church. Both districts have previously acquired city rights: Eemnes - Buiten already 1345, Internal finally in 1439 Eemnes - Buiten still are older houses that belonged to the former village.. In addition, there is still the small former town hall, which is now used as a restaurant.
