Gildeskål

Gildeskål is a Norwegian municipality with 2009 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013). The administrative center of the municipality is the place Inndyr with 900 residents. The municipality is 664 km ² and is located directly on the coast with some offshore islands.

Sørfugeløy i Gildeskål

  • Gildeskål Church - A church yard, which is about three kilometers from the center of Inndyr. Here are two churches, the newer 1881 and older by 1130. The older church is one of the most important stone churches in Northern Norway.
  • Tour with Ferry - From Sund is offered from a Fährrundfahrt to the islands Sør- Arnøy, North Arnøy and after Horsdal. In North Arnøy stands since the end of World War II a German coastal battery with four guns.
