Gina G began her career in 1987 as a DJ in Melbourne. In 1992, she was heard singing with dance act Bass Culture, which had a top 20 hit in the Australian charts with " Live The Life". In 1993, Gina the band to pursue a solo career in UK.
When Euro Vision Song Contest 1996 in Oslo Gina G was the UK, entitled " Ooh Aah ... Just A Little Bit " which was written by Steve Rodway of Motiv8. During her performance she wore a 5000 pound expensive dress by Paco Rabanne and finally finished in eighth place. In the British charts the single reached the top spot and sold in the UK alone nearly one million copies. In November 1996, the title has been renowned in the U.S. Billboard charts, a rarity for a Euro - Vision post.
With her second single "I Belong To You" Gina G also rose into the British Top 10 and was the first artist to debut with a title of a Euro vision contest in the top 10 and then immediately another top 10 hit had.
In early 1997, their debut album " Fresh! " published. Thereupon, the further singles " Fresh! ", " Ti Amo ", " Gimme Some Love" and are "Everytime I Fall ". 1998 " Ooh Aah ... Just A Little Bit " nominated in the category " Best Dance Recording " for a Grammy.
During a flight to Glasgow Gina G collapsed and required medical treatment. As a result, rumors of drug abuse have been raised. Gina G withdrew from the public.
After a lengthy legal battle with her former manager Gina G went back into the studio to record new material. In 2000, she collaborated with the Swedish producer Lagoona, with whom she recorded a new version of her hit " Ooh Aah ... Just A Little Bit " and a cover of Nancy Sinatra 's classic " These Boots Are Made For Walking".
Since 2003 she is married.
In March 2003 she was a contestant of the reality TV show " Reborn in the USA", she was voted out after the third week. On the soundtrack for sending two titles by Gina G are included, " Do not Leave Me This Way " and "I Can not Make You Love Me ".
In March 2005, Gina G finally took part in the preliminary round for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2005, but could not be penetrated against competitors like Katie Price or Javine and received the fewest votes from the public.
In August 2005 Gina G released their second album " Get Up & Dance", which was only available through their website. The first copies were provided with a personal message from her. In summer 2006, the single " Tonight's The Night " was released.
