Geography

Geographical Location

Gusborn is bounded on the north by part of the same, otherwise the place extends over the western part of Long Strand Geest.

Community structure

The municipality consists of six districts Gusborn since the municipal reform of 1972. Additionally, there are the dwelling places Forestry Seybruch house and yard Wulfsahl belonging as well as the village Sipnitz prior to 1972 to the then municipality Quickborn.

The seat of the municipality is located in Quickborn.

History

On 1 July 1972, the municipality Gusborn was newly formed by the merger of the former municipalities Groß Gusborn, Small Gusborn, Quickborn, Siemen and Zadrau. Small Gusborn had more inhabitants than the United Gusborn. The community Quickborn has introduced most of the inhabitants. The two districts large and small Gusborn Gusborn are grown together through the new housing estate Durlei to a local situation in which over half of the municipality 's population.

Policy

The municipality belongs to the Gusborn parliament constituency 48 Elbe and the Bundestag constituency 38 Lüchow -Dannenberg - Lüneburg.

Parish council

The council of 11 members Gusborn has spread since the local elections in 2006 to two electoral groups.

In the community a doctor for natural remedies, a doctor of Psychotherapy and a veterinarian are located.

Traffic

Through the community, the highway passes 191 in the section Dannenberg (Elbe ) Doemitz, passing north of the hamlet Quickborn. The villages large and small Gusborn Gusborn be tapped by the country road L256 ( Dannenberg Gartow ).

Education

In Gusborn an elementary school in the United Gusborn, and a game loop in Siemen are present.

Structures

Near Gusborn is a 97 meter high steel framework tower which is called Torii Tower and was used until the early 90s as a listening post.

Others

Once a year, always on the first Friday in August, takes place in the district of Wiesbaden Fete Quickborn.
