Geography

Location

Mountains on the stupid lies in the southwest part of the Wendland. It is located south of the Drawehn on the southeastern edge of the Natural Park of the Elbe Valley and flows through a portion of the Wustrower Stupid, a western tributary of the Jeetzel.

History

Mountains on the Stupid was first mentioned in a Lehnsvertrag between the sons of Henry the Lion in 1203.
