Hussigny-Godbrange
Hussigny- Godbrange (German: Hussingen - Godbringen, lb: . Héiseng - Guebereng ) is a commune with 3402 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle in the Lorraine region.
Geography
The community Hussigny- Godbrange lies on the border with Luxembourg, across from Differdange.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1249 as Husingen. Hussigny- Godbrange end of the 19th century a center of Italian immigration in Lorraine. In the Italian part of Hussigny, who was also called la Basse- Italie, were mentioned already romagnol until the late 1950s, an Italian dialect of Romagna. East of Hussigny- Godbrange was 1871-1920 the border triangle between France, the German Empire and Luxembourg.
