Jan Frodeno

Jan " Frodo " Frodeno ( born August 18, 1981 in Cologne ) is a German triathlete and Olympic gold medalist (2008).

Career

Jan Frodeno grew up in South Africa and began with 15 years of his sporting career as a swimmer. Three years later he came because of the versatility of the various disciplines to rescue swimming.

In November 2000, he started his triathlon career, and in 2002 he started for the first time in the triathlon Bundesliga. In the same year Frodeno also managed the leap into the German national team. In 2005 and 2006 he was able to hold in the German men by good performance. Between 2005 and 2008 launched Frodeno in the Triathlon Bundesliga for the Hansgrohe team.
