José María Linares is a province in the eastern part of the department of Potosí in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location

The José María Linares Province is one of sixteen provinces in the Potosí Department. It lies between 19 ° 30 'and 20 ° 16' south latitude and between 64 ° 43 ' and 65 ° 53 ' west longitude. It is bordered on the north by the province of Cornelio Saavedra, in the northwest of the province of Tomás Frías, on the west by the province Antonio Quijarro, to the south by the province of Nor chichas, and on the east by the department of Chuquisaca. The province extends about 120 km in east-west direction and 85 km in north-south direction.
