Modesto Omiste is a province in the southeastern part of the department of Potosí in the highlands of South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location

The Modesto Omiste province is one of sixteen provinces in the Potosí Department. It lies between 21 ° 39 'and 22 ° 06' south latitude and between 65 ° 10 ' and 66 ° 08 ' west longitude. It is bordered on the north by the province chichas Sur, on the east by the department of Tarija, and to the south and southwest by the Republic of Argentina. The province extends about 120 km in east-west direction and 65 km in north-south direction.
