La Fare-les-Oliviers

La Fare -les- Oliviers is a commune with 7256 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur. The municipality belongs to the Association of Municipalities Agglopole Provence.

Geography

The community is located 23 km west of Aix -en- Provence and 14 kilometers south of Salon-de -Provence in the valley of the River Arc. Neighboring towns are Coudoux, Lancon -Provence, velaux and Rognac.

History

The municipal area although there are no remains from prehistoric times, however, many artifacts have been discovered from the Roman period. Management
