Nature regions

The Lenne mountains broken down as follows ( for better orientation are below some places and waters linked ):

  • ( Südsauerländer to 3362 Bergland ) ( 3362.0-3 to ebb Homert threshold ( 373 km ²) 3362.2-3 Lenne Mountains 3362.2 Homertrücken 3362.20 Schliprüther Homert ( at Kath Berg 580.8 m)
  • 3362.21 Wilde Wiese- Homert (at the Homert 656 m) 3362.210 Meinke Brachter Ausraummulde

The central ridge is the Wild meadow - Homert ranging from Lennetal from east to Wenne at Wenholthausen. Its southern flank is limited in the eastern half by the left Wenne inflow Salwey and to the west by the right Lenne inflow Falbecke together with the lower reservoir of the pumped storage plant Rönkhausen.

Between the two valleys is the corridor to the southern slopes Schliprüther Homert which extends south to just before the right Lenne inflow Fretterbach, in the east to close to the right Salwey inflow Marpe.

In the northeast of Wild Meadow Homert runs from Meinkenbracht to Wenne the Meinke Brachter Ausraummulde that separates the north subsequent Greven Steiner mountains, in which the west Meinke Bach Wilde Wiese- Homert goes almost fluently. The Greven Steiner mountains draw also east of Wenne as a narrow ridge to just above the hen on Henne, immediately southwest of the core city of Meschede.

To Lenne drain ( upstream, from south to north ), especially the southern border river Fretterbach and the Wild meadow - Homert and Schliprüther Homert the west separating Glingebach plus Glingebachtalsperre ( lower reservoir of the pumped storage plant Rönkhausen ).

Drain the northern flank of the Lenne Mountains, from west to east, the systems of Rohr (plus Sorpe to the north of the mountain range lying Sorpesee ) Wenne ( with Esmecke Reservoir and Salwey plus Marpe ) and hen (along with Henne ), where Salwey ( border river between Wild meadow - Homert and Schliprüther Homert the east) and Marpe also dehydrate ( east limit of Schliprüther Homert ) to the southeast.
