List of cities in Kenya

This is a list of cities in Kenya.

By far the largest agglomeration in Kenya is Nairobi with a population of 3,639,581 (as of 1 January 2005). This means that around ten percent of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.

In the following table are the cities of over 30,000 inhabitants, the results of the Census ( Census ) 1969, 1979, 1989 and 1999 (each August 24 ), an estimate for January 1, 2005 and the parent administrative unit ( province ) to the part of the city, listed. Nairobi forms its own capital district and belongs to no province. The population figures refer to the actual city without suburban belt.
