List of districts of Serbia

The administrative districts ( serb.: upravni okruzi ) are in Serbia, the local jurisdictions that state administration authorities that perform individual administrative tasks outside the headquarters of the ministries.

Establishment and organization

The establishment of the administrative districts is provided in the Law on State Administration, which was carried out by the Regulation on the administrative districts in detail. The territorial jurisdiction of the administrative districts are each defined by the territories of several municipalities. In addition, each of a municipality within the county was designated as the central administrative office in which to set up the ministries usually have their branch offices.

The counties is in each case before a senior official who is appointed by the government for five years and the activities of the field offices in particular coordinated and supervised.
