Loreto Aprutino is a 7549 inhabitants and 59 km ² comprehensive community near Penne and Moscufo and is located in the province of Pescara.

On 24 May 1994 the third stage of the Giro d' Italia in 1994 ended in Loreto Aprutino with the victory of Gianni Bugno.
