Montesilvano

Monte Silvano is an Italian town in the Abruzzo region, 208 km east of Rome, with 51 424 inhabitants.

Monte Silvano is located immediately north of the provincial capital of Pescara. The municipality was created from the merger of lying on the coast town of Monte Silvano Marina and the hilltop fortified village of Monte Silvano Colle.

Other neighboring municipalities are Cappelle sul Tavo, Città Sant'Angelo and Spoltore. Traffic Technically, the community is well served by the A14 motorway.

The circuit race Giro d'Italia 2001 was launched in Monte Silvano Marina with a time trial.
