Luxembourg National Division

The National Division, since 2007 officially BGL Ligue (formerly franz: Division Nationale, Luxem. Nationaldivisioun ), Luxembourg is the highest football league for men. It is organized by the Luxembourg Football Federation.

It bears this name since the 1957/58 season. Through a sponsorship agreement bears the National Division in the next four years the title " BGL Ligue ". Previously called the highest Luxembourg League 1909-1912 Class A 1912/13, the championship was not held, from 1913 to 1932 she was named 1st Division and finally 1932-1957 Eredivisie. In the time of the German occupation of Luxembourg in World War II Luxembourg did not have a league. Game Mode

The season includes 26 game days, divided into two phases of the game. Each participating team will play two games ( round-trip round ) against all other teams. Pro victory, the team receives three points per Draws a point. These points are added together to establish a general classification.
