Marco Sørensen

Marco Sørensen ( born September 6, 1990 in Svenstrup ) is a Danish racing driver. It occurs since 2012 in the Formula Renault 3.5.

Career

Sørensen made ​​at the age of three years, his first experience in karting. From 1998 to 2006 he was finally in karting active. Among other things, in 2002 he was vice-champion of the Danish Junior ICA Kart Championship. In 2006, he debuted in Formula racing and also took part in two races of the Danish Formula Ford. In 2007, he entered fully in this championship. He won four out of twelve races and finished the season on top of the third overall. 2008 Sørensen moved to the British Formula Ford with a win and five podium finishes, he finished eighth in the championship. He also took part in this season on 8 out of 16 races in the ADAC Formula Masters. He won half of the race to which he started and finished the season in fourth place in the championship. 2009 saw Sørensen Moto Park Academy and competed in two Formula Renault championships. In the Northern European Formula Renault he won a race and finished third in the Drivers' Championship. In the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup he was a sixth place as best result 15 He was also in this season a member of the Renault - funding program.

After Renault had ceased production, changed Sørensen 2010 in the German Formula 3 Cup at Brandl Motorsport. He went on to four of nine race weekends and was awarded a third place as best result eleventh in the drivers' standings.
