Career

Matt D' Agostini began his career as a hockey player with the Guelph Storm, where he was active from 2006 to 2008 in the Ontario Hockey League. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2005 in the sixth round as the 190th overall player of the Montreal Canadiens.

Although this was his only use in this season, but the Canadians played in the 2008 /09 season already predominantly for the NHL's Montréal. During the season 2009/10 D' Agostini was finally transferred in exchange for Aaron Palushaj to the St. Louis Blues. During the lockout in the 2012/13 season he joined the SC Riessersee from the 2nd Hockey League. In March 2013 he was transferred to the New Jersey Devils. In July 2013, the Canadians signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. There, however, he has already set the following November on the waiver so that it committed the Buffalo Sabres.
