Montecorvino Rovella is a town with 12,777 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Salerno / Campania, near Naples, and lies 295 m slm It is part of the Comunità Montana Bergkomune Picentini.
Geography
Montecorvino Rovella covers an area of 42.21 square kilometers. The population density is 298 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The municipality comprises the fractions Arpignano, Cannito Pezze, Cappella, Cetrangolo, Gauro, Incassata, scrub Lenzi, Occiano, Pianella, San Lorenzo and Temponi.
Borders the following municipalities: Acerno, Battipaglia, Bellizzi, Giffoni Valle Piana, Montecorvino Pugliano and Olevano sul Tusciano.

From Montecorvino Rovella the beatified and died in Beijing on January 3, 1328 John was from Montecorvino. He was honored with a January 5, 2000 with the unveiling of a bronze statue in the place.
