Nesselwängle

Nesselwängle is a municipality with 431 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the Tannheim Valley, district of Reutte, Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Reutte.

The road Nesselwängle village situated at the entrance of the Tannheimer Valley. To Nesselwängle include the hamlets Rauth on a steep hillside, Schmitte on the road and Haller Haldensee.

Of importance in the Middle Ages was the salt transport of Hall in Tirol by the Tannheimer valley in the Lake Constance area. Today Nesselwängle is a Auspendlerort and a popular tourist resort for summer and winter holidays ( sport, leisure, spa, ski resort, cross country skiing ).

Economy

Nesselwängle is primarily determined by the Tannheimer Taler skiing and hiking tourism. There are many holiday apartments, hotels and pensions in place. The skiing and hiking area Krinnenalpe can be reached from the village on foot or by car. Furthermore, there is a ski school, a supermarket and a sports shop, the lift company Nesselwängle. Opened in 2012, the high ropes course " climbing forest Tannheimertal " at the foot of Krinnenspitze.
