Number-one hits of 1993 (Germany)
This list of number-one hits in Germany in 1993. It was in this year nine number-one singles and eleven number-one albums. This year there was the first time since 1988, no German leader. Biggest hit was Haddaways "What Is Love? ", Although the title could never reach number one in the charts, but ten times took second place.
The single and album charts compiled weekly by Media Control and were comprised of 100 positions. They reflect the sale of physical media ( vinyl and CD) resist. To determine the locations 51 to 100 and the radio insert the title was used. Sales were evaluated within a week ( Monday to Saturday). The official release date of the charts and was on Monday three weeks after the end of the survey period.
