Nyazepetrovsk

Njasepetrowsk (Russian Нязепетровск ) is a city in Chelyabinsk Oblast (Russia) with 12,451 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located about 340 km northwest of the Oblasthauptstadt Chelyabinsk at the mouth of Njasja in Ufa in the river system of the Kama on the southwest flank of the Middle Urals.

Njasepetrowsk is the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.

The city lies on the which opened in 1916, originally West -Ural Railway mentioned railway Kalino ( at Tschussowoi ) Druschinino - Berdjausch.

History

Njasepetrowsk arose in 1747 in connection with the establishment of ironworks Njasepetrowski Sawod by the merchant Pyotr Osokin (named after the river and name of the owner ), and received city rights in 1944.

The city has a museum of local history. There are not too many monuments of industrial architecture of the 19th century.
