Obersimmental District

The municipality of Upper Simmental was until 31 December 2009, an administrative unit of the Canton of Bern. Seat of government governor was the Blankenburg Castle in Two Simmen. The municipality consisted of four municipalities with 8052 inhabitants ( 31 December 2008) to 333 km ²:
