Oscar Klefbom

Oscar Klefbom ( born July 20, 1993, Karlstad ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player standing since 2012 with the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League under contract and in parallel for their farm team, which plays Oklahoma City Barons in the American Hockey League.

Career

Oscar Klefbom began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the Hammarö HC. From there he moved in 2008 to Färjestad BK, for the first team, he made his debut in the Elitserien in the season 2010/11. In his rookie year, the defender scored a goal in 23 games each and an assist and won with his team immediately the Swedish championship title. In parallel, he came for Färjestad partners Skåre BK in the third-class Division 1 for use, in which he collected in the previous year already also the Skåre BK and when IFK Munkfors match practice at senior level.

With his achievements, he was able to convince the talent scouts and was selected after the first season in KHL Junior Draft in the first round than a total of 20 players from Salavat Yulaev Ufa and then in the NHL Entry Draft in the first round than a total of 19 players the Edmonton Oilers.

Internationally

For Sweden Klefbom took at junior level for the first time participate in the U18 World Youth Championship 2011. He captained his team to winning the silver medal and was voted one of the three best players of his team.
