Pantenburg

Pantenburg (phonetic transcription in Eifel dialect: " Pahntebuasch ") is a municipality in the district Bernkastel -Wittlich in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Manderscheid.

Geography

The village is located in the Eifel. To the west is Manderscheid, in the east Wallscheid. Through the northern hamlet Buchholz Gemarkungsgrenze of Pantenburg and corner field runs.

To Pantenburg include residential places station Pantenburg and Buchholz ( former convent ).

History

Beginning in 1794, Pantenburg under French rule, 1815, the place on the Congress of Vienna was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. Since 1946 he is part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.

Parish council

The local council in Pantenburg consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
