Pfaffstätt

Pfaffstätt is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Braunau am Inn in Innviertel with 993 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The competent court is the district court district Mattighofen.

Geography

Pfaffstätt is located on 471 m altitude in Innviertel. The expansion is 4.8 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 3.3 km away. The total area is 9.16 km ². 37 % of the area is forested, 56.5 % of the area is used for agriculture.

History

Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then ' Innbaiern ') to Austria.
